For over 30 years, the Illinois State University Collegiate Bowling Team has allowed Illinois State students to be a part of an outstanding tradition. Our program provides students an opportunity to be involved in collegiate bowling, and to strive for College Bowling USA's Intercollegiate Bowling Championships. With a strong commitment and active teamwork, you can be a part of this exciting venture. Membership Fees, which include a tryout fee, annual club dues, and league fees are required.
Tryouts for the Illinois State University Men’s & Women’s Collegiate Bowling Teams will be held on Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, at 9 a.m. You will bowl a predetermined series of games.
The tryout fee is $80.00, which includes your bowling fees for the fall semester in the Redbird Classic League and is not refundable. After you have paid the tryout fee, you will be able to practice for 50¢ a game anytime until Wednesday, September 10.
Teams will be selected based on performance, attitude, sportsmanship, experience, and the on-the-lanes behavior of all the tryout participants. The Men’s and Women’s Team will consist of 8-10 members each.
Meetings and Practice are held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Bowling & Billiards Center (during the fall and spring school semesters, only).
Test your skills by joining one of the Bowling and Billiards Center weekly leagues. Meet once a week and take your best shot for great prizes.
