Floor One Map

Floor 1 Overview

Floor 1 features various meeting spaces, ballrooms, dining options, student services, and accessible restrooms.

Navigation Tips

  • The building is oriented with north at the top-right of the map.
  • The Dietz Welcome Desk and Braden Box Office is the central reference point for all directions near the visitor parking lot entrance on the east side of the building.
  • The concourse runs from the visitor parking lot entrance through to the Drop-off Entrance.
  • Most meeting spaces and ballrooms are located on the north and west sides of the floor.
  • Dining options (Starbucks, McAlister's Deli, and The Landing) are on the east side for easy access from the visitor parking lot.
  • Student services (ISU Credit Union, Redbird Card Office) are centrally located for convenient access.
  • Multiple restrooms are available throughout the floor, with accessible options clearly marked.

Entrances and Exits

Visitor Parking Lot Entrance

The main entrance from the visitor parking lot is located on the east side of Floor 1, near the Dietz Welcome Desk and Braden Box Office. This is the primary entrance for visitors arriving by car and is wheelchair accessible.

Drop-off Entrance

The Drop-off Entrance is located on the west side of Floor 1, near Brown Ballroom, is wheelchair accessible, and is accessed from the Circle Drive.

The Circle Drive

The Circle Drive provides vehicle access on the west side of the building, near the Drop-off Entrance and Brown Ballroom.

Dietz Welcome Desk and Braden Box Office

Dietz Welcome Desk and Braden Box Office (Welcome Desk) is located on the east side of the Bone Student Center and is the central reference point for Floor 1.

Directions from the Visitor Parking lot to the Welcome Desk
  1. From the Visitor Parking lot, move south on the sidewalk.
  2. Enter the Bone Student Center.
  3. Move straight to get to the Welcome Desk. 
Directions from the Circle Drive Drop-off to Welcome Desk
  1. From the Circle Drive Drop-off, enter the Bone Student Center.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse past Spotlight Room, TechZone, ISU Credit Union, The Landing, and Starbucks on your right.
  3. Continue straight. The Welcome Desk will be on your right.

Lounges, Meeting Spaces, and Event Venues

Dobski Room

Dobski Room is located in the northeast area of Floor 1, between Founders Suite and McAlister's Deli.

Directions to Dobski Room from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop and McAlister’s Deli on your right.
  4. Dobski Room will be on your right after McAlister's.

Founders Suite

Founders Suite is located in the northeast area of Floor 1, between Old Main Room and McAlister's Deli.

Directions to Founders Suite from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, and Dobski Room on your right.
  4. Founders Suite will be on your right.

Old Main Room

Old Main Room is centrally located on the north side of Floor 1, between Founders Suite and the elevator and stairs.

Directions to Old Main Room from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and the Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, and Founders Suite on your right.
  4. Turn right at the intersecting hallway. Old Main Room will be straight ahead.

Circus Room

Circus Room is located in the north-central area of Floor 1, between Printing Services and Brown Ballroom.

Directions to Circus Room from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, elevator and stairs, and Printing Services on your right.
  4. After Printing Services, turn right at the intersecting hallway, Circus Room is straight ahead.

Brown Ballroom

Brown Ballroom consists of Brown Ballroom I, II, and III, located in the northwest area of the building. These spaces can be used individually or combined for larger events.

Directions to Brown Ballrooms from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, elevator and stairs, Printing Services, and Circus Room on your right.
  4. Brown Ballroom I, II, III will be straight ahead to your right at the intersecting hallway.

Courtyard

The courtyard is located outside of Starbucks in the south-east area of Floor 1.

Directions to courtyard from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse.
  3. Turn left into Starbucks.
  4. Move straight until you meet doors to the outside.
  5. The courtyard will be on the other side of the doors.

East Lounge

The East Lounge is located in the south-central area of Floor 1, adjacent to Braden Auditorium.

Directions to East Lounge from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop and McAlister's Deli on your right.
  4. Once you get to Dobski Room, make a left through the southern corridor.
  5. Move straight past the bathrooms on your right and left and continue into the East Lounge.

Braden Auditorium

Braden Auditorium is located in the central-south area of Floor 1, accessible from the east and west lounges. Wheelchair accessible entrances are on either side of TechZone.

  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, and Dobski Room on your right.
  4. Once you get to the elevator and stairs on your right, TechZone will be across on your left.
  5. Wheelchair accessible entrances to Braden will be on either side of TechZone.
Directions to Braden Auditorium (east) from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop and McAlister's Deli on your right.
  4. Once you get to Dobski Room, make a left through the southern corridor.
  5. Move straight past the bathrooms on your right and left and continue into the East Lounge. 
  6. Braden Auditorium will be to your right. There will be stairs down to the seating.
Directions to Braden Auditorium (west) from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, elevator and stairs, and Printing Services on your right.
  4. Once you get to the Circus Room on your right, you'll make a left through the southern corridor.
  5. Move straight past the bathrooms on your right and left and continue into the West Lounge.
  6. Braden Auditorium will be to your left. There will be stairs down to the seating.

Spotlight Room

The Spotlight Room is located in the central-west area of Floor 1, adjacent to TechZone.

Directions to Spotlight Room from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, elevator and stairs on your right.
  4. Once you get to Printing Services on your right, Spotlight Room will be directly across to your left.

West Lounge

The West Lounge is located in the south-west area of Floor 1, adjacent to Braden Auditorium and near the Drop-off Entrance.

Directions to West Lounge from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, elevator and stairs, and Printing Services on your right.
  4. Once you get to Circus Room on your right, make a left through the southern corridor.
  5. Move straight past the bathrooms on your right and left and continue into the West Lounge.

Food and Drinks

McAlister's Deli

McAlister's Deli is located in the northeast corner of Floor 1, between Redbird Spirit Shop and Dobski Room.

Directions to McAlister's Deli from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left and Redbird Spirit Shop on your right.
  3. McAlister's Deli will be the next entrance to your right.

Starbucks

Starbucks is located on the east side of Floor 1, in between the Welcome Desk and The Landing.

Directions to Starbucks from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight a short distance. Starbucks will be directly to your left.

The Landing

The Landing is on the east side of Floor 1, and adjacent to Starbucks.

Directions to The Landing from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight a short distance past Starbucks on your left.
  3. The Landing will be on your left.

Shops and Services

Redbird Spirit Shop

Redbird Spirit Shop is located in the northeast area of Floor 1, adjacent to McAlister's Deli.

Directions to Redbird Spirit Shop from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks will be on your left.
  3. Redbird Spirit Shop will be on your immediate right.

TechZone

TechZone is located in the central area of Floor 1, between the ISU Credit Union and Spotlight Room.

Directions to TechZone from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, and Dobski Room on your right.
  4. Once you get to the elevator and stairs on your right, TechZone will be directly across on your left.

Printing Services

Printing Services is located in the north-central area of Floor 1, near the Circus Room and elevator and stairs.

Directions to Printing Services from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, Dobski Room, and elevator and stairs on your right.
  4. Printing Services will be on your right.

Redbird Card Office

Redbird Card Office is located on the south side of Floor 1.

Directions to Redbird Card Office from Welcome Desk
  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop and McAlister's Deli on your right.
  4. Once you get to Dobski Room, make a left.
  5. Move straight past the bathrooms on both your right and left, and continue through the East Lounge. Stay to your left as stairs down to Braden are on the right.
  6. When you reach a ramp, follow the ramp up and to the left. Continue along the ramp until you reach the end, turn right.
  7. Redbird Card Office will be immediately on your right.

ISU Credit Union

ISU Credit Union is located in the central area of Floor 1, adjacent to TechZone.

  1. At the Welcome Desk and your back toward the visitor parking lot entrance, turn right.
  2. Move straight ahead through the concourse. Starbucks and The Landing will be on your left.
  3. Continue past Redbird Spirit Shop, McAlister's Deli, and Dobski Room on your right.
  4. Once you get to Founders Suite on your right, ISU Credit Union will be directly across on your left.

Restrooms, Elevator, and Stairs

Wheelchair Accessible Restrooms

Multiple wheelchair accessible restrooms are located throughout Floor 1.

  • In between the Drop-off Entrance (west side) and Spotlight Room
  • In between the The Landing (east side) and ISU Credit Union
  • In the back right down a hallway of Starbucks

Elevator and Stairs

Two elevators and four stairways are located on Floor 1.

  • One elevator is to your right as you come in from the visitor parking lot entrance as you move towards the Welcome Desk and turn right. It has access to floors 1, 2, and 3. 
  • One elevator is centrally located across from TechZone. It has access to floors 1, 2, and 4.
  • One stairway is located directly left of the entrance from the visitor parking lot.
  • One stairway is located outside in the courtyard on the opposite of the Starbucks doors to the back left.
  • Two stairways are centrally located across from TechZone.

Floor 2

Floor Two Map

Floor 2 Overview

Floor 2 features dining options, meeting spaces, student services, Braden Auditorium Mezzanine, administrative offices, and accessible restrooms.

Navigation Tips

  • The building is oriented with north at the top-right of the map.
  • The elevator on the east side (near the Milner Plaza Entrance) is the central reference point for all directions on Floor 2.
  • Prairie rooms (I, II, III) and dining options are located on the northeast side.
  • Student services (Career Services, huddle rooms, Dean of Students, Student Involvement Center) are centrally located on the north side.
  • Braden Auditorium Mezzanine occupies the central-south area of the floor with entrances on the north, east, and west sides.
  • The Milner Plaza Entrance is the only wheelchair accessible entrance on Floor 2.
  • Multiple restrooms are available throughout the floor, with accessible options clearly marked.

Entrances and Exits

Milner Plaza Entrance

The Milner Plaza Entrance is the only wheelchair accessible entrance on Floor 2, located on the east side of the building.

Lounges, Meeting Spaces, and Event Venues

Prairie Room

Prairie Room consists of Prairie I, II, and III, located in the northeast area of the building inside the Birds' Nest dining area. These spaces can be used individually or combined for larger events.

Directions to Prairie Room from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back to the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse and turn right after Qdoba.
  3. Continue into the Birds’ Nest dining area.
  4. Prairie I entrance is located on the right side of the Birds’ Nest after Qdoba's counter. Prairie Room II and III are further down the Birds' Nest located across from Timbers.

Terrace

The outdoor terrace is located on the northeast side adjacent to Prairie Room.

Directions to Terrace from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Immediately turn right at the intersecting hallway. The terrace doors will be straight ahead.

Birds' Nest

The Birds’ Nest is a dining area located in the northeast, between Qdoba and the Student Involvement Center.

Directions to Birds’ Nest from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse and pass Qdoba on your right.
  3. Birds’ Nest will be on your right.

Faculty Staff Lounge

The Faculty Staff Lounge is located in the north area of Floor 2, adjacent to the Prairie Room.

Directions to Faculty Staff Lounge from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse and pass Qdoba on your right.
  3. Turn right into the Birds’ Nest dining area.
  4. Continue straight. Once you get to Timbers Grille, turn right.
  5. Continue straight. Once you get to Prairie II, turn left down the corridor.
  6. The Faculty Staff Lounge will be directly ahead.

Braden Auditorium Mezzanine

Braden Auditorium Mezzanine has entrances on the north, east, and west sides of the central area. All entrances are wheelchair accessible.

Directions to Braden Auditorium Mezzanine (East Entrance) from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse past Qdoba on your right.
  3. Turn left after Qdoba, into the southeast corridor.
  4. Continue straight through the cooridor and pass Event Services and Catering Office on your left.
  5. The east entrance to Braden Auditorium Mezzanine will be immediately ahead on your right.
Directions to Braden Auditorium Mezzanine (North Entrances) from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move straight through the concourse passing Qdoba, Birds' Nest, on your right.
  3. Once you get to the elevator and stairs on your right, directly across on your left is the Career Services reception desk.
  4. Braden Auditorium Mezzanine entrances will be on either side of Career Services reception desk and the huddle rooms.
Directions to Braden Auditorium Mezzanine (West Entrance) from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move straight through the concourse passing Qdoba, Birds' Nest, Dean of Students, and Career Services on your right.
  3. In the left corner, take the intersecting hallway located next to the Career Resource Hub.
  4. The west entrance to Braden Auditorium Mezzanine will be on your left.

Food and Drinks
Timbers Grille

Timbers Grille is located in the north area of Floor 2, accessible through the Birds’ Nest.

Directions to Timbers Grille from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse and pass Qdoba on your right.
  3. Turn right into the Birds’ Nest.
  4. Continue straight to Timbers Grille ahead.

Qdoba

Qdoba is located in the northeast area of Floor 2, adjacent to the Birds' Nest and Prairie Room.

Directions to Qdoba from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse.
  3. Qdoba will be on your right.

Services

Student Involvement Center

The Student Involvement Center is located in the north-central area of Floor 2, adjacent to the Birds' Nest. 

Directions to Student Involvement Center from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse passing Qdoba and Birds' Nest on your right.
  3. The Student Involvement Center will be on your right before the elevator and stairs.

Dean of Students

The Dean of Students office is located in the north-central area of Floor 2, between Career Services and the Student Involvement Center.

Directions to Dean of Students from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse passing Qdoba, Birds’ Nest, and elevator and stairs on your right.
  3. The Dean of Students office will be on your right.

Career Services

Career Services includes the Career Service Main Office, Career Services Reception Desk, Career Services Resource Hub, and Huddle Rooms located in the central and west areas of Floor 2.

Directions to Career Services Main Office from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move into the concourse and pass Qdoba, Birds’ Nest, elevator and stairs, and Dean of Students on your right.
  3. Career Services main office will be on your right.
Directions to Career Services Reception Desk and Huddle Rooms from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move into the concourse and pass Qdoba and Birds’ Nest on your right.
  3. Once you get to the elevators on your right, Career Services Reception Desk and Huddle Rooms will be immediately on your left.
Directions to Career Services Resource Hub from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse past Qdoba, Birds’ Nest, stairs and elevator, Dean of Students, and Career Services on your right.
  3. Turn left into the southwest corridor
  4. The Career Services Resource Hub will be ahead on your right.

Event Services and Catering Office

Event Services and Catering Office is located on the southeast side of Floor 2.

Directions to Event Services and Catering Office from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Move through the concourse past Qdoba on your right.
  3. Turn left after Qdoba, into the southeast corridor.
  4. Continue straight through the cooridor and Event Services and Catering Office will be on your left.

Restrooms, Elevators, and Stairs

Wheelchair Accessible Restrooms

Multiple wheelchair accessible restrooms are located throughout Floor 2.

  • Between Timbers Grille and Prairie Room (north side)
  • Men's restroom between Dean of Students and the central stairs and elevator (central north)
  • Women's restroom adjacent to Career Services Main Office (west side)
  • Between the Huddle Rooms and Event Services and Catering Office (central south)

Elevators and Stairs

Two elevators and two stairways are located on Floor 2.

  • The east side elevator and stairs are located on the east side near the Milner Plaza Entrance and has access to Floors 1, 2, and 3. The east side elevator is the central reference point for Floor 2.
  • An additional elevator and stairs are located across from the Career Services Reception Desk and has access to Floors 1, 2, and 4.

Floor 3

Floor Three Map

Floor 3 Overview

Floor 3 is called The Atrium. It houses Admissions at Illinois State University and is available for events. The Atrium features a reception area, presentation room, balcony, and accessible bathrooms.

Navigation Tips

  • The east side elevator is the central reference point for all directions.
  • Floor 3 can only be accessed from the east side elevator and stairs.

The Atrium

The Atrium includes a reception desk, presentation room, balcony, and bathrooms.

Reception Desk

The Reception Desk is located on the east side of Floor 3, adjacent to the east side elevator.

Directions to Reception Desk from East Side Elevator.
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn left.
  2. The reception desk will be directly ahead.

Presentation Room

The Presentation Room is located south of the east side elevator.

Directions to Presentation Room from East Side Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, the Presentation Room will be directly ahead.

Balcony

The balcony is located on the north east side.

Directions to Balcony from Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn left.
  2. The Balcony will be on your left.

Restrooms, Elevators, and Stairs

Wheelchair Accessible Restrooms

Two wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on Floor 3:

  • Both restrooms are located past the reception desk to the right as you exit the east side elevator.

Elevators and Stairs

One elevator and stairs are located on Floor 3.

  • The east side elevator and stairs is located next to the reception desk and stairs are in the reception area. The east side elevator is the central reference point for Floor 3.

Floor 4

Floor Four Map

Floor 4 Overview

Floor 4 features Braden Auditorium Balcony, West Lounge, and East Lounge.

Navigation Tips

  • The central elevator is the central reference point for all directions on Floor 4.
  • Floor 4 can only be accessed from the central elevator and stairs.

Lounges and Event Venues

Braden Auditorium Balcony

Braden Auditorium seating is located in the central area of Floor 4.

Directions to Braden Auditorium (East Entrance) Balcony from Central Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn left.
  2. Walk ahead through the concourse.
  3. Turn right at the end of the concourse into the the East Lounge.
  4. Moving straight, Braden Auditorium will be on your right.
Directions to Braden Auditorium (North Entrances) Balcony from Central Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, the Braden Auditorium Balcony will be directly ahead.
Directions to Braden Auditorium (West Entrance) Balcony from Central Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Walk ahead through the concourse.
  3. Turn left at the end of the concourse into the the West Lounge.
  4. Moving straight, Braden Auditorium will be on your left.

East Lounge

The East Lounge is located on the east side, adjacent to the Braden Auditorium Balcony area and bathrooms.

Directions to East Lounge from Central Elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn left.
  2. Walk ahead through the concourse.
  3. Turn right at the end of the concourse.
  4. The East Lounge will be ahead on your right through the southeast corridor.

West Lounge

The West Lounge is located on the west side, adjacent to the Braden Auditorium Balcony area.

Directions to West Lounge from central elevator
  1. With your back towards the elevator, turn right.
  2. Walk ahead through the concourse.
  3. Turn left at the end of the concourse.
  4. The West Lounge will be ahead on your left through the southwest corridor.

Restrooms, Elevators, and Stairs

Restrooms

  • There are no wheelchair accessible restrooms on Floor 4.
  • Restrooms are located in the East and West Lounges.

Elevators and Stairs

  • The central elevator and two stairs are centrally located across from the Braden Auditorium Balcony. Floor 4 can only be accessed by the central elevators and stairs. The central elevator is the central reference point for Floor 4.
